The Ambitious Card. A classic routine dating back to the 19th century, where a chosen card repeatedly jumps to the top of the deck. In this video Jeff Hinchliffe teaches you his personal handling of this classic plot.

While it's a classic, this plot requires a careful balance of phases/sequences, and needs to be just the right length, not too short and not too long. Too short, and you've deprived the audience of potential astonishment. Too long, and you'll get a diminishing returns. Jeff's routine has the right balance of structure and length, allowing the effect to grow and breathe. The finale ends in the spectators own hands, and we all know magic in the spectators hand is some of the most powerful magic possible.
